The Berlin Social Justice Group will be presenting a two part series on Critical Race Theory.
On Tuesday September 21 at 7:30PM EDT, when the Berlin Massachusetts Social Justice Network (BMSJN)will put on the first of a two-part program on the topic: “Critical Race Theory—Its Origins, Meaning and Misrepresentation.” The program will feature presentation, video clips, and open time for discussion among those attending.
On Tuesday October 5 at 7:30PM EDT, BMSJN will host a follow-up meeting: “Critical Erase Theory in Texas—How a CRT bogeyman is being used to constrain racial studies in education”. The program will provide a detailed review of the provisions of the recently passed Texas education law that targets the teaching of race in the public schools. It will include a discussion on the effect of those provisions on teaching civics and American history in schools and will close with a wonderful video by Trevor Noah.
